What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are FDA-approved non-surgical facial filler products that are used to instantly smooth out the lines along the sides of your nose, under eyes, mouth, create balanced full lips, and to replenish lost volume in your face. It can provide you with natural looking results for up to a year. The fillers we use are made from a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA).
What is Hyaluronic Acid (HA)?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found within your skin. As you age, you start to lose HA, which causes the skin to lose structure and volume, contributing to the formation of wrinkles, folds, and creases in the face. Filler are an excellent wrinkle treatment option that will provide natural looking results.
What is the difference between Botox® and Dermal Fillers?
Botox® and Dermal Fillers are two very effective non-surgical options to treat moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles; however, they are administered differently. Botox® is injected into the muscle to temporarily reduce the activity of those muscles. Dermal Fillers are injected into the skin’s layers to temporarily smooth moderate to severe wrinkles such as those around the nose and mouth.

Prior to any injectables, you will want to consult with your primary care provider to ensure that fillers are the right skin care solution for you. If you have allergies to lidocaine or proteins that are used to make the manufactured hyaluronic acid, some dermal filler products may not be the right solution for you.
