Botox®

Botox® is the world’s single most requested anti-aging treatment with more than 7 million procedures in the US every year.

What is Botox®?

Botulinum toxin A is a naturally occurring protein derived from a bacterium, and is marketed under the brand name Botox® (Allergan).
When used cosmetically, it can smooth out deep lines and creases, restoring a revived youthful appearance to your face and skin.

How does Botox® work?

Botox® is an FDA-approved product that temporarily improves both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and lines around the sides of your eyes. Repeated contractions from frowning and squinting are the main causes for developing lines, and wrinkles. Botox® temporarily reduces the activity of these muscles, achieving smooth, tight skin.

The Benefits of Botox®

• Changes in your appearance occur within three days of the injection, with the full onset after 7-10 days.
• Facial and body skin appears dramatically smoother

• Facial lines disappear or diminish in only a few days

• Prevents future static lines and creases in skin.

• Allows the client to resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

Preparing for your Treatment

During your complimentary consultation with your provider, a full medical history will be taken and assessed in order to determine whether or not you are a candidate for treatment, the potential side effects, and the benefits
you can expect after the treatment.

What is the Treatment like?

Botox® involves a quick 10-minute procedure that requires no downtime or recovery.
 After the treatment
you can return to work and resume normal activities immediately after the treatment.
Avoid exercise for 4-6 hours after the treatment,
avoid massaging the area for 24 hours.
We also schedule a follow-up appointment 18 days after your first treatment in order to assess your body’s response to the treatment and answer any questions you may have.

Will Botox® leave me Expressionless?

We will never leave you expressionless. Cosmetic injections are designed to enhance your natural appearance. Prior to your first injectable experience, you will first undergo a complimentary consultation where your provider will discuss in detail how the injections work and assure you of any hesitations you may have. Additionally, Botox® procedures are always administered by experienced and trained medical professionals.

Who is Suitable for Botox® Treatments?

Early in our twenties, facial lines and wrinkles begin to appear that can adversely affect your appearance. With Botox® we can help you restore and enhance your appearance and prevent future wrinkles. Botox® is commonly used by men and women who are looking for that healthy, youthful, energetic look.
Who is Not Suitable for Botox® Treatments?
Pregnant or breast feeding women, patients suffering from severe neuromuscular disorders, Bell’s palsy, or bleeding disorders.
Will Botox® interact with Medications I am taking?
Drug interactions can occur if clients are taking aminoglycoside antibiotics (gentamicin, neomycin) aspirin, anti-inflammatories, gingko biloba, and St. John’s warts.

Are there any Side Effects?

Botox® has been used for over 20 years to treat facial wrinkles and it’s safety and efficacy has been verified in many clinical trials, with no long term side effects reported from its use.
Occasionally a small bruise may occur at the injection site. In very rare circumstances, patients may experience heaviness of eyebrow/eyelid which can last a few weeks. Prior to your Botox treatment, your provider will assess your risk for these side effects.

I Have seen Clinics offering Botox® for much Cheaper

Botox® treatment prices vary considerably from one clinic to another. Botox® is supplied to all medical clinics in a manufacturer’s vial containing a specific amount of vacuum dried neurotoxin (powder form). In order to inject the Botox® into our clients, the aesthetic injectable specialist must first add saline solution to turn the neurotoxin into liquid form mixture. Because of this, the strength and efficacy will differ from clinic to clinic depending on the amount of saline that was added to the original powder sent from the manufacturer.
Beware of facilities offering “bargain prices” because this is usually a sign that product has been diluted far beyond what’s recommended or even effective for results. You may even be told that you are getting a large “dose” of the product when in reality you are being injected with mostly saline solution.

Botox® is a prescription only medicine and should be considered a medical procedure carried out in a controlled environment and administered by a qualified, medical professional.
